What can I say about those Bougainvilleas other than to say they are spectacular. I love the vibrancy of their colours. I want to sit and stare at them all night long (with the wind chill, the temp. here is -44c. Our high tomorrow is -28c.)
The Chinese Hat is interesting - I don't think I have ever seen this. And the Ixoras are amazing.
You've picked two cool cacti too!
I was about to leave a comment on PottRott's blog, but I wasn't sure if you would see it. I looked at all his pictures from the time he was a cute puppy. I have a hunch that PottRott and Lytton would have fun getting into trouble together.
How neat is that - you prepared the publishing contract for 'Who Let the Dogs Out?' That is amazing. I didn't realise it was originally recorded by Anslem Douglas.
Dear Nicole, the garden centre looks beautiful dotted with such lovely colours! You must have had great joy visiting this place. What are the minimum temperatures in your place these days?
What a feast for the senses this morning when I visited your blog...such gorgeous flowers - I love that banana flower - the beauty products from the Far East and lastly the yummy recipes. Thank you.
Hi Nicole, Thanks for visiting my blog. Your photos are gorgeous! Good luck with the cacti--looks like you've chosen Mammillaria, and they are a great genus to start with, and fairly easy to propagate from seed. Aiyana
Logically, one should realize that the word "Garden Center" must have a different meaning in your tropical world, but Nicole - somehow I forgot that even gardens in your climate don't just happen! Someone still has to buy the plants and make that garden.
Thanks for an eye-opening, as well as eye-popping post.
I'm an “island girl” born and living in the Caribbean. I love to travel, garden, love art and music and of course the beach. I also enjoy cooking, especially with my own grown herbs and farmers market produce. My job in international development takes me to different countries of the world and that’s what I consider the best thing about my career: getting to meet and become friends with so many wonderful people and getting to experience different countries and cultures. My blogs are Tropical Travels http://tropicalscenes.blogspot.com/ and A Caribbean Garden http://caribbeangarden.blogspot.com/

Nice Mammillaria cacti. I see some little flowers on the one...they are so sweet.
