Bromeliads at the Palmwood Inn

I really like the look of these bromeliads, planted by Eddi, the wonderful hostess at the just perfect Palmwood Inn, in Kauai. I took these pics last October. I think the shape and colors of the plants look really well on this rock wall.

I thought I'd put this pic to show a contrast, of how it looks in a lush garden-this one is Chancy's in Trinidad.

Those are gorgeous! I've never been to the Palmwood, but that area is definitely beautiful. The inn's website is quite something else too (great photos), and I can only imagine how fantastic it must've been to stay there. Thanks for mentioning this!

You know...with these bromelaids planted like this , they have a very arid look. I like that. I live in a tropical area, but love the desert look more!!! LOL. These are really pretty...I think I may have to do a rock garden and fill it with bromelaids!!!

Those are very beautiful bromeliads. It is amazing how they can just grow on rocks like that. The variegated 1 in the last shot is my favorite.

I love bromeliads! I have a ton of them, but I want more of the ones with pretty leaves. Most of mine are bloomers. I'm dying for a fireball, but don't know anyone who has one.
