The white Plumeria is so pretty - it looks cool even though you have such hot weather. Nice shots!
Happy Garden Bloom Day! /Katarina

My allamanda is full of buds, I should have some flowers in a few days, I never seen a purple one

It's so fustrating to hear about the extremely high temps in other parts of the world -- if only I could trade you some heat for a bit of cold! I swear my basil, tomatoes and eggplants will either mold to death or die for lack of sun and warmth. Mid-50's is so NOT summer weather!

Lovely blooms, dear Nicole! What are the temperatures like at your place these days ? Surprisingly this time the whole of Northern India ia not facing the hot dry spell so typical of May and June, instead the Monsoon has come early and the weather is pleasant though a bit humid.

Oh yes, I like that white plumeria. So delicate...
I've been trying to grow one of those euphorbias, but with little success.

Very tropical and exotic to me. Stay cool, and thanks for joining in for bloom day again.

Thanks, Katarina. At least we have also been also to cool down at the beach on the weekend.

Rusty, the purple allamanda is Cryptostegia grandiflora see http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2071/
Very easy to grow, but the sap of the vine is irritating, though I never got it on me. Isn’t Allamanda cathartica such a wonderful, no-care reliable flower for our clime?

rowena I agree, mid-50's is so NOT summer weather LOL.

Thanks, Green thumb. During the midday we get highs of 33 degrees Celsius-not as hot as India or New York in their summer highs, but it’s still hard on the plants and us. Great that you have pleasant weather. The summer has come early here, last year we did not get these high temperatures until August.

gintoino I also love the white plumeria because it blooms non stop. I have found euphorbias grow either without any effort, or not at all.

Carol I am happy I was able to participate this month, as in the previous 3 mon ths I had been working and traveling!

Hi Nicole,

Your blooms may not be as many as you'd like, but they sure are intense!
That yellow allamanda is especially nice- some people in Austin grow them outside in summer but put them under cover for winter. And your plumeria petals look so smooth and lovely... hope mine will decide to bloom sometime!

What wonderful tropical blooms you have out there! I am envious as we can only see those if we go to heated indoor botanical gardens here!

You do remind me how appreciate we in the tropics should be with our fabulous flora. Annie I just love love plumeria, esp the fragrant ones. I saw some huge street trees in Asia.
Thanks, Sarah The post on your blog of the formal dinner had me chuckling as that’s exactly what they replicate in Trinidad for formal law school dinners!
Thanks Caribbean Social Network
