My kind of street food

I took these pictures on my trip to Asia in June.

I just love fresh lychees

cherimoya or sweetsop, also known as custard apple

mangoes and mangosteens

We had these luscious smoked coconuts in Laos. I drank 3 every day I could find them! Coconut water is a big booster of one's immune system.

Roasted sweet potatoes

My friend Kamm posing with the fresh coconuts in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was very refreshing after the temple tours. As we came out the temple gates a couple vendors rushed to us bearing bottles of cold water, but we pointed to the coconuts-we guessed they aren't accustomed to many foreigners asking for coconut water as opposed to water.

My mouth waters when I see all those luscious fruits. Luckily we can grow many of them in our climate. Custard apples are ripening now. The markets look great!

Hello,
Very sweet picture of you (is it you?)
I saw lychees in the shop many times, but what's the best way to eat it?

Tatiana-a sweet custard apple is truly delicious!
Yes, Chennette-I noted that!
Ewa-its my friend Kamm, I took the pic, but people kept asking if we are sisters. The best way to eat Lychees is to peel the skin off after scoring with a knife, and eat it fresh, in fruit salad or (yummy!) with vanilla ice cream.
Thanks Layanee.
