I also enjoy cooking, especially with my own grown herbs and farmers market produce. I absolutely love the beauty of Agave when they produce their flowering stalk. The photo is just gorgeous! I plan to post soon about Agave and have a lot of photos of their stalks, but none as nice as yours :)
That is a beautiful agave flower.
I have started growing agaves in my garden, they seemed to be very sharp & difficult to handle.
