Visit to Bajan Garden

Tuesday 5th May, 2009

Work took me to Barbados and my Bajan friend, Joy, and I were so happy we were able to visit Helen of  My Rustic Bajan Garden

Set in Benthams House in the idyllic Barbados countryside, one felt transported to another time. Red Frangipani and Black Pearl in bloom

Helen was generous with her delicious homemade preserves made from cherries, carambola and limes from her garden.

Rusty did not want to miss out on the photo taking-he jumped up in front the camera!
The faboulous Helen, and one of her water lily pond creations

Her place is a garden photographer's delight.

Debut Foliage Follow Up

My debut Foliage Follow Up hosted by Pam of Digging catches me away from home, so I am posting 3 photos of my one of my favourite foliage-bamboo. The first was taken by my friend Phouc at the zoo in Laos, the second I took in San Juan, and the last is from my friend Aoth, taken at her family's home in Laos.

Orange and Yellow

Once again I am on the road with work travel, so I am going to do my blooms day continuing the Rainbow Challenge.
This time its orange and yellow.

Who can resist sunny yellow sunflowers?                     My pretty yellow hibiscus
