Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Pam-I'm going to call it yucca bright edge from now on, then! When I was transplanting it I cut off one of the rhizomes and potted it, ad I now have another small plant.
Sylvana-yes the fruit is edible, but has almost no taste. Like pulpy water LOL. I just leave mine for the birds.

Hi Nicole, it's so wonderful to see many familiar plants from across the seas! The pink frangipani is a beauty. We're seeing more of them here but when we were kids, only the white ones were grown. Ixoras will be my eternal favourites!

wow I would have never guessed the constraints you are dealing with in getting smaller affordable plants. I have it so easy here.
